Meet: Savenac 1821

Elegant, chic, luxe, and with an equestrian flare, Savenac 1821 is the perfect luxury jewelry company that emanates Hunt Country charm. Honoring the elegance of the past, while creating wearable designs for today. The company designs pieces that are meant to be treasured classic heirlooms, with an original and modern twist. Enamel, 18k yellow and white gold, sterling silver, and hand-selected brilliant diamonds are all components that make up these fabulous pieces, hand-made in the U.S.

“Savenac 1821” (sav-ă-nac), is named after owner and founder Lisa Harris’s family’s historic Virginia horse farm circa 1821. We caught up with Lisa to learn a little more on the company’s namesake, up and coming designs, and why she chose to work in Hunt Country.

TSG HUNT COUNTRY: How did you get started in your business?

LISA: After 15 years in luxury jewelry sales I needed a change. During that time, many clients were looking for equestrian inspired fine jewelry and could not find what they wanted. With my background in fashion design and as a fellow equestrian, I decided to create a line of heirloom quality jewelry, inspired by classic equestrian style of the early 20th century. A collection that would speak to both equestrians and just lovers of the lifestyle. My Grandmother was the true catalyst for my inspiration, and her farm Savenac, circa 1821.

TSG HUNT COUNTRY: What do you love most about working in Hunt Country?

LISA :  I used to call on architects in the area when I sold antique wood flooring. Being a lifelong equestrian, I fell in love with the area on my sales calls. The architectural  history, preserved open space and respect for the land. Also, the people I’ve met since coming to the Middelburg area have been incredibly friendly and supportive! I’m looking forward to making more connections!

TSG HUNT COUNTRY: What is your favorite aspect of your work?

LISA: Working directly with clients to find the right piece of jewelry for them or a special gift. Getting to know them and their horses!

TSG HUNT COUNTRY: What are some of your favorite local spots in Hunt Country?

LISA: I have to say the Welbourne Inn. We recently completed a photoshoot there with UK Photographer Georgina Preston. I had read an article about the house in Preservation Magazine 20 years ago. I had never forgotten that house. It was amazing to see it in person. So much history, it’s a very special place.

TSG HUNT COUNTRY: What are some recent or new projects, products, services, and/or endeavours?

LISA: We have bracelet designs coming early next year! Also, more diamond and gemstone pieces. And a new product category altogether! We are planning to launch by next Spring, stay tuned.

TSG HUNT COUNTRY: Is there any advice you might give potential customers and clients?

LISA: Find a reason to wear your good pieces of jewelry everyday, even if it’s to brighten your day. Enjoy them!

I’m truly grateful for the people I’ve met and the opportunities I’ve had with my business in Hunt Country. Looking forward to many more!

Savenac 1821 creates one-of-a-kind, equestrian-inspired luxe jewelry with a clear level of deep thought and passion behind each design. They routinely collaborate with fellow equestrian creatives, such as Madeleine de St.Pierre Bunbury (modeling the rings above), a talented and accomplished equine artist and Georgina Preston, the photographer responsible for those dreamy, post-card perfect fox hunting, equine, and country life shots. We know a powerhouse company when we see one, and Savenac 1821 is certainly that. Bringing together like-minded individuals in the creative and fashion space to showcase their stunning pieces is brilliant, savvy and a surefire way to let the community in on their breathtaking creations.

We are so happy to have Savenac 1821 as a member of TSG Hunt Country, and will be anxiously awaiting the drop of their newest collection coming this Spring.
